The Upcoming DC Extended Universe’s Birds of Prey is officially an R-Rated movie according to the Motion Pictures Association of America. It is one of the most anticipated movies of the DCEU, but fans are not going to stop booking the tickets. Many viewers have become even more interested in the movie once it has got the R-Rating.
According to Motion Pictures, the film has intense violence, strong language and other abusive content not safe form younger kids or people with less than 17 can’t watch the movie. It is not even a surprise for the DC fans since they already know about DC’s Harley Queen, who is famous for intense hot scenes.
The last time when the Suicide Squad released, fans were speculating that movie might get R-rating for nudity and strong language. However, later they got to know that it officially got PG-13 rating due to sequence of violence and action throughout, disorganized behaviour, content and abusive language.
Margot Elise Robbie did a surprisingly commendable performance in Suicide Squad, and she successfully replicated the comic character Harley Queen in the live-action movie which was not an easy task at all. David Ayer directed the movie, and he did also announced a solo movie for Harley Queen at the time when Suicide Squad released. Now the time has come for Harley Queen to hit the theatres once again in forthcoming Birds of Prey.
The film will feature the back-story of the DC character Harley Queen in a live-action movie. It is not a sequel of Suicide Squad neither it is going to be purely focused on Harley Queen as well. On the other hand, it will introduce the other characters of DC comics, such as Huntress aka Helena Bertinelli, Black Canary aka Dinah Laurel Lance and more.
If you want to know the opinion of IMDB about Birds of Prey, then you will find no difference as there rating for the movie is also R-rated. According to the cast and film producers, it is clear that the film has invested more on the story than making Harley Queen more arousing or attractive for the young guys who are desperately waiting to see her on the screen.
Instead of being a PG-13 film that can fail at the box office, it will be a set of mature audience which may change the whole opinion about the movie. This movie might put DC Extended universe on a new concept and inspiration for other superhero movie franchise. Now the hope for the success of the film also goes to positive reaction and reviews from critics as well as from the general audience.
