If you are a user with Office 365 Subscription, you can then choose to stop forwarding of meeting invites in Outlook. The feature will work regardless of whether the Information Rights Management is being used by you.
The option to allow forwarding of meeting invites comes enabled by default in Microsoft Outlook 2016. However, while creating or editing a meeting, you will be able to choose an option as “prevent this action.” Thus, in this article, you are going to learn exactly how you can prevent forwarding of meeting invites in Outlook.

STEPS TO DISABLE ‘ALLOW FORWARDING’ OF MEETING INVITES IN OUTLOOK
The experience of working with ‘Meetings’ in Outlook is very similar to working in appointments; the only difference is just that in Meetings you handle or work with more people. So, let’s get started with the task and follow the steps as mentioned below:
  1. First of all, launch Outlook client with an open meeting request.
  2. Open the Outlook and switch to the ‘Home’ tab.
  3. After that, you need to switch to the ‘New Items’ section. You may find it under the Home tab.
  4. And tap on the drop-down arrow.
  5. Here, you have to select the ‘Meeting’ option from the list of options displayed.
  6. Up next, you will need to add the email address of the person to whom you want to send a meeting invitation.
  7. Before you hit the ‘Send’ option, you should move to ‘Response Options.’
  8. Here, you have to remove the checkmark from the option marked against ‘Allow Forwarding’ toggle.
  9. At last, you just need to hit the ‘Send’ button.
After doing the process as mentioned above successfully, the recipients of the meeting invites will not have any option to forward it further.
Important Note
Remember that Outlook may not be able to disable forwarding of meetings invites if you have sent a meeting invitation to the attendees whose mailboxes have been hosted by a third-party service such as Google Calendar or in older versions of Exchange with the servers managed on-premises.
There are some exceptional cases, where the attendee may receive a meeting on an inhabitant client such as Exchange Server 2016, Office 365, or Exchange Server 2019. Though, they will have the options to forward the meeting invitations or calendar events. On the other hand, if they try forwarding the meeting, the clients can obstruct this action.
Conclusion
In simple words, an email notification will be sent to the attendee notifying them that the meeting organizer doesn’t permit you to forward this meeting.
Thank you. We hope the information as mentioned above is going to be helpful to you!
