Today, Netflix announced that it is Launching an update for its TV interface worldwide. The revamped interface is intended to make navigation throughout the Netflix which is easier for the user. And after this update, there will be a lot less scrolling up and down of the screen with the remote to get what actually the user wants. Here we provide the information about what’s new and also what you can expect the next time you can easily fire up the Netflix on the set-top box of your choice.

New Netflix Navigation Sidebar

Netflix latest update incorporates a new sidebar on the left side of the screen which makes it easier for the user to get the content that they want easily. The latest sidebar features shortcuts to the things like “TV” and “Movies” to filter through its vast catalog by shows and films. It will also include the “Search, My List, and a New” button to see what’s been added new in the Netflix.

Instead of eternally scrolling up and down for finding the movies, TV shows, and also some other options like Search and Settings, the user can get directly from the sidebar option. Indeed, the Netflix acknowledges that the TV interface will need work and also the update should have been easily understandable.

However, the company also wanted to get it “right” prior rolling it out to everyone around the world. Stephen Garcia, the Netflix Executive, wrote in a post that while it might feel like a clear update to some users and validating this TV experience was enhanced for Netflix members took some widespread research, technology improvements, and testing.

Besides to the sidebar, there are many other related changes though annoying to several users. When the users browse to any given location, then the user will get a full-screen appetizer of a top show or movie which is given above the rows of the content suggestions. Since the company has started doing directly on its home screen, some few years ago, lots of people were very much irritated by the auto-playing videos. No one is a fan of the auto-play previews. But the users just wanted to scroll through the show titles without any video blasting with a preview. And the company also doesn’t offer any way to turn them off.

Recently, the Netflix has been introducing a lot of new changes such as Automatic Downloads on Android and also enhancements to its web-based speed testing tool. And the Netflix catalog has also been expanded quickly especially the original content become more difficult to find that what to watch. And now these new changes are welcome.

Today, the newly redesigned interface is launching, but it will take some time for seeing it, surely you should expect in the next few months.
